Description

DCB is recruiting a Registrar to manage the lottery process and student administration process. The Registrar is the individual who oversees the process of student administration at DC Bilingual. DCB is seeking motivated staff that are committed to the school’s mission and will bring professionalism, urgency, and dedication to the school environment.
All staff are expected to work collaboratively within our professional learning community (PLC).


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the entire lottery process (including accuracy on applications and attend meetings)
  • Maintain all student records
  • Process all new student records, including performing data entry on student data
  • Maintain records of students who withdraw from DCB
  • Track student daily attendance
  • Handle fee and bill payment duties, by accepting cash or checks and issuing receipts, while if the Office Manager is busy or not present
  • Administrate medications while nurse is unavailable
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information
  • Establish cooperative relationships by using a calm and tactful manner
  • Support other DCB staff members by assisting with completion of work activities and covering if someone is absent
  • Must abide by the DC Bilingual 7 Agreements*
  • Must adhere to the No Nonsense Nurture* expectations for managing student relations and behaviors
  • Demonstrate dedication to the PLC by supporting school-wide initiatives and programs
  • Other duties as assigned


REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college preferred
  • Bilingual preferred but not required (Spanish/English)
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students and families from diverse backgrounds
  • Two or more years of operations experience (preferably in an urban or culturally diverse setting)


SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
